Parallel zur Veröffentlichung von Update 1.07 veranstaltet Bohemia Interactive auch ein Kostenlos-Wochenende für das zombifizierte Survival-Abenteuer DayZ. Noch bis zum Montag um 19 Uhr lässt sich das Spiel über den Store von Steam kostenlos installieren und spielen. Gleichzeitig will man den anschließenden Kauf mit Angeboten schmackhaft machen: Auf das Basis-Spiel wird in dem Zeitraum ein Rabatt von 40 Prozent gewährt, beim kürzlich veröffentlichten DLC Livonia kann man zehn Prozent sparen.

Das Update 1.07 bietet nicht nur die üblichen Bugfixes, sondern bringt auch ein paar neue Inhalte mit: Der Repeater Carabine erweitert das Waffenarsenal zusammen mit 357er-Patronen. Zusätzlich gibt es ab sofort Gummigeschosse (12ga Rubber Slugs) als alternativen Munitionstyp für Schrotflinten. Aus der Beschreibung auf der offiziellen Webseite und dem aktuellen Trailer geht außerdem hervor, dass man in der Welt von Chernarus und Livonia mehrere Freizeitparks vorfindet, in denen man Spaß haben und Zombies bekämpfen darf.

CHANGED

  • Changed: Global lighting changes (ground-lighting addition, brightness of the day and night, shadow contrast during clear weather, rain visual tweaks, darker clouds during overcast)
  • Changed: Improved inventory attachment icons (missing icons added, tweaked and unused removed to free space)
  • Changed: Clean-up of the car damage zones
  • Changed: Lowered the amount of leaked coolant when the car radiator is destroyed
  • Changed: The „Open“ option for the fence gate can be accessed easier

SERVER

  • Added: Ability to choose between bright and dark nights through a server config parameter lightingConfig (0 for bright, 1 for dark)
  • Tweaked: limitFPS is now logged and default crop value raised from [1, 50] to [1, 200], by default it’s unlimited

  • Added: Curl context can store the results into files + API
